Strategic Appointments at Thomson Gray
Thomson Gray are delighted to have made two strategic appointments in recent months.
John Tavendale joins as regional director and member of our internal leadership team to oversee both our Inverness and Aberdeen offices. John has over 35 years’ experience as project manager, successfully leading multidisciplinary design teams for major higher education projects and high profile cultural projects.
Prior to becoming a project manager, John was an architect for 20 years and worked on a range of projects including commercial, residential, higher education, building conservation and refurbishment.
John will continue to build on recent successes in the area such as the completion of the award-winning National Treatment Centre and the new Rural and Veterinary Innovation Centre (RAVIC).
He will work closely with the team developing and creating new client relationships across the North of Scotland and Highlands and Islands.
Current projects include the North Schools Programme for Hub Scotland North, the redevelopment of Elgin Town Hall for Moray Council, the ‘Old Petty’ golf course, refurbishment of Castle Stuart and new healthcare facilities in Tongue.
John Kilbane joins as senior consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. He specialises in construction quality management, having successfully delivered projects across all sectors throughout Scotland.
His experience and knowledge providing independent tester, independent certifier, NEC supervisor and quality monitor roles increases Thomson Gray’s quality management capability and help continue to deliver high-quality projects.
John will primarily be based in our Glasgow office, but will work on range of new and existing projects throughout Scotland.
