Staff promotions
2022 was a great year for Thomson Gray where we worked on a range of projects across Scotland including the completion of the Linear accelerator treatment centre at the Western General Hospital, Stockingfield Bridge, Cameron House Hotel, Greyfriars Charteris Centre, and the Broadford Hospital in Skye.
We have continued to expand our team across all departments employing people from not only the UK and Ireland, but Zimbabwe, India, Germany, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, and a member of staff based in Singapore.
In 2012 we employed only 20 people and had a turnover of £1m and now employ over 70 people across our 5 offices and moved up to No.104 in Building Magazine’s Top 150 Consultants in the UK. Over a third of our employees are female, when the Office for National Statistics suggest only 13% of the UK construction industry is female. We continue to invest in our training programmes with 26 members of staff on our APC structured training or Graduate Apprenticeship programme.
To ensure that the company management structure adequately reflects the progress made by the company, we are delighted to announce several promotions with senior director James Gibson appointed in the new role of finance director, Ross Lovatt as senior director, Alan Brown, Wesley Bathgate and Laurence Casserly appointed as directors.
We have expanded our management group within the practice with Amy Robertson promoted to senior associate and Duncan Scott appointed associate within the quantity surveying team, Andrew Blair appointed associate within the building surveying team and Rebekah Garrett appointed associate within the project management team. Within the finance and administration team Kim Manson has been appointed finance manager and Megan McNeill as office manager.
We believe these management changes will allow the practice to meet the developing demands placed upon it not only this year, but beyond and look forward to successfully continue working with our team, clients, and collaborators. 2023 will see a number of project completions including critical pieces of infrastructure at Winchburgh, new National Treatment Centre-Fife and new National Treatment Centre-Highland.
