Seamab ‘Building our Future’ project
Thomson Gray is pleased to continue supporting Seamab, a care and residential charity for children aged 5–18 with their plans to build a new fit-for-purpose school.
Their current school was built 40 years ago as a residential property and lacks most of the features necessary for the delivery of the Curriculum for Excellence. The £5.5m ‘Building our Future’ project will provide new facilities to meet the children’s needs, provide them with the environment they require and the future they deserve.
The new building will accommodate 6 classrooms, a gym hall and trampoline room, life skills room, dining facilities, therapy suite and administration and meetings rooms.
With planning permission granted last year, the charity has £2.4m funding in place with building work due to start this summer and completed early 2025. The new school will be a physical launchpad for children to believe in their potential and build a future which once might never have been imaginable to them.
