Rod Shaw
With over 30 years’ experience as a chartered surveyor, Rod has a vast range of expertise in managing costs on a variety of complex and challenging projects. He works closely with both public and private sector clients, with a focus on healthcare.
Rod studied at Heriot-Watt University, where he gained an honours degree in building economics and quantity surveying. He completed his RICS chartership in 1991 within private practice before joining Thomson Gray in 2006.

Over the course of his career, Rod has worked on almost all the recognised forms of contract and procurement methods widely accepted as industry norms as well as bespoke one-off contracts.
Rod is also an experienced project monitor having worked with banks, private funders, and various public bodies to provide solid and reliable advice, detailed interrogation and thorough reporting on a wide variety of construction projects.
