Lawrie Smith
Lawrie is an assistant project manager, who joined Thomson Gray in 2023.
Lawrie graduated with an honours degree in quantity surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University.
He gained experience in quantity surveying within the residential, commercial and education sectors at a Glasgow-based private practice and has worked as assistant project manager at an engineering consultancy – which involved the management and delivery of various design projects within the UK and Ireland.
Lawrie was also project manager at a hospitality management company, where he worked on a range of project types including new builds, refurbishments and both planned and emergency capital expenditure. This experience has allowed for knowledge in project management, contract administration and cost management on behalf of both clients and project stakeholders.
His background in both project management and quantity surveying roles means that cost, programme and quality are at the forefront of his approach to project delivery.
