John McKaig
John is director in charge of our Melrose office and covers the north of England, in addition to his work in Scotland. With over 32 years’ experience in construction, he has worked for both public and private sector clients – and utilised almost every form of construction contract.
John joined Thomson Gray in 2007 as an associate and has been a director with the business since 2008.
Having delivered individual projects in excess of £100m, he not only offers the role of quantity survey but also project manager, employer’s agent and project monitor.
John splits his time between our Melrose and Edinburgh offices and looks after several key client frameworks.
His strengths lie in clear communication, accuracy of reporting and proactive management of cost risk within each project, ensuring clients receive the quality of service from his team that is naturally expected of Thomson Gray.
