Alan McCraw
Alan is an assistant health and safety consultant, who joined Thomson Gray in 2019. He has over 11 years’ experience overseeing health and safety across several industries.
Alan’s expertise includes utilities, windfarms, electrical sub-stations and sites for demolition. He is a technical member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is currently studying towards gaining his NEBOSH diploma qualification and becoming a chartered IOSH member.
He has vast knowledge of current legislations, regulations and guidelines governing health and safety in different industries and is skilled at ensuring that these are met on every project.
Alan is a strong communicator and is experienced in building relationships with both employees and management. He is adept at delivering training sessions and developing effective communication strategies to ensure that everyone is aware of their responsibilities when it comes to health and safety.
Currently, Alan is overseeing projects on behalf of NHS Lothian, NHS Highland, East Lothian Council, University of Edinburgh and National Museums of Scotland.
